Level 4 swimmers can perform the following for 25 yards: Front Crawl, Back Crawl, Elementary Backstroke, Breast Stroke (maintaining position on back for 1 minute), Sidestroke, Butterfly (15 yards) and be able to tread water for 1 minute. You should be atleast 16 years of age on or before the last day of the instructor course.
We've recently changed all of our registration to be fully on-line so you can register from your desktop and Android or iOS device. Register and pay here or give us a call at 718-758-5901. You will be directed to a registration page and asked to create a profile. There you will fill out a form with your personal information and be able to register.
You can come and register in person once you decide to take the course or become a member and keep working on your swimming technique. Hi, my name is Fran Clifford. I have been teaching swim classes for over 40 years. I am passionate about training new instructors at the New Settlement Community Center Pool. By the end of this course, you will be able to teach babies thru senior citizens to swim and enjoy the water.
